“There’s no way I’m going to loose!” Megan said with a smirk as she looks in her mirror unable not to smile as she was a shoe in to win. Living in a small town of Pumpkinstine or known as ‘the capital of Halloween’ respectfully given for the towns love for Halloween and for most town or cities they would just celebrate Halloween for the day or the week but not Pumpkinstine. For the entirety of October they celebrate it with the day itself beginning a huge costume fiesta. Giving a spin, giving the mirror a great three-sixty look of her and the costume she was wearing. The eighteen year old wore a beautiful sparkling purple with pink decoration patterns mermaid tail with a matching top showing off her mid drift and some of her cleavage, her wavy shoulder length brown hair hidden under a long violet wig. Megan just smiles unable to hide her excitement, hearing her phone ringing, Megan with her movement limited thanks to the costume, waddles over her phone to see her friend Alice was calling, sure enough Megan answers.
“Hey girl, you ready for the festival?  Megan asks.
“Oh you know it and I got the best costume for it too!” Alice explains.
“Is it that cat costume again?” Megan asks with a slight smirk as a pause soon followed Megan’s question before answer was replied.
“No!” Alice answers sounding not confident in her answers.
“Really, how many times are you going to wear it?” Megan asks almost teasing her friend.
“What it’s only the third time I did!” Alice replies, Megan just shook her head in disbelief.
“Anyways, I just finished with mine and I should be down at the party in… ten minutes!” Megan explains, “Depends how long it takes me to my car!”
“Wow, what are you wearing?” Alice asks.
“I’m not telling you, you just have to wait and see!” Megan explains.
“Oh you’re no fun!” Alice moans sounding like she was pouting on the other side of the phone.
“Ok okay, I’ll see you soon!”
“K, bye!”
Hanging up the phone, Megan smiles as placing her phone down, beginning to make her way out of the room, Megan felt like a penguin by the how restrictive that the mermaid tail was around her legs, but it gave the illusion that she had a actual tail so to Megan it was worth it. After a great struggle to just to get to her front door, Megan no had to get to her car and drive to the party. Opening the door showing the sun just setting and the cool autumn breeze sweeping through, giving Megan a slight chill. As quick as she was as able to, Megan made her way to her car and careful gets in and tucks all costume in before closing her car door behind, starting up her car, Megan backs up her car looking for any people or on coming traffic. Seeing it clear, Megan drives on to the road and begins drives forward and to the direction to the party. Finding the street quite quiet but considering the main streets would be closed because of the festival, Megan understood why. Continuing to drive, with her attention on the road, caught some lights in the sky, turning to it, Megan stopped her car as in the night sky was flowing purple lights that danced and moved just like the northern lights.
“Wow!” Megan whispers amazed by the strange lights in the sky as it just danced over the town before violently disappearing leaving an ominous glow.
“What was all that about?” Megan asks, figuring it was for the festival, Megan shrugged it off and continued to drive along without a care in the world. Continuing to drive Megan begin to feel a strange heat coming from her legs, thinking it was nothing, Megan just ignore it as she caught sight of Alice’s house.
“GAH!” Megan screams serving off the road and hitting into a tree. As the airbag exploded cushioning her impact but Megan attention wasn’t on her car but on herself as the burning and pain coming from her legs was unnatural. Struggling to open her door, Megan just feel to the hard ground, groaning in pain as she reaches down her legs, pulling on her costume which seem to be sticking to her legs. Megan clawed and dragged herself as pulls her to a sitting position as she just stares down at her legs, fear gripping her body and mind. Megan watch as her very costumes in printed on her very skin, her legs grew longer moulding together, fusing together. Pain surge through as her very bones and muscle in her legs and hips changed, her skeleton in her legs shift to that of a tail allowing Megan a more great flexibility in her coming tail. Her large fish fins fanned out taking on a sparking violet tone, a jolt of pain, force Megan to flip to her belly as a long fish dorsal fin ran down from the start of where her arse was to the beginning of her four foot wide tail. Getting a strange itching sensation from her scalp, instantly pulling off her wig, Megan cringes as her own hair grew longer taking on a violet tone, stretching her fingers out as webbing became visible on them. Letting out a scream as her top like her bottom half fused on her very skin covering her breasts but still showing them off. Letting out a scream of fear and pain the pain and heat soon subsided leaving Megan the mermaid laying on the hard ground. Megan turns to her new tail feeling the muscle in it, the cold ground underneath as she slow lifts up finding that she cloud bend it in a way the knees could never do not just could she get it to near perfect semi-circle and it felt flexibly, and strong, really strong. Suddenly, the sounds of screams echo through the night sky, coming from all areas and from all distances.
“Oh no!” Megan whispers as she looks over to Alice’s house to see witches, trolls, devils, Satyrs, angels, humanoid horses and other various animals rushing out as one rushes out, a humanoid ginger cat-girl with long ginger hair.
“Alice? ALICE!!! ALICE OVER HERE!!!” Megan screams waving her hand around soon catching the attention of the cat-girl who seeing the falling Megan quickly rushes over to her with great speed.
“My god, Megan… you too?” Alice purrs her voice sounding catlike, Megan stares at her friend. Alice was a long blonde with green eyes, slim body with no real curves to speak of, with average B cup breasts. Now she was ginger with white fur, slit pupil her whole eyes completely green, with perfect curves and perky double D breasts, with a long cat tail swinging side by side.
“Me? You’re a cat!” Megan cries out.
“Argh, mind it keeping it down, my hearing has increased!” Alice growled her cat ears point backwards.
“Oh sorry, what happened, how am I a… a mermaid and how are you a cat-girl… thing?” Megan asks.
“I don’t know and it’s not just us too!” Alice explains as the two looked around to see that it everyone they saw were one thing or another all confused, all scared on what happened and how it happened.
“It’s like we became what we were wearing!” Alice and Megan said in unison.
“But how?” Alice asks, Megan thought for a moment recalling the events that aspired until now.
“The lights!” Megan states.
“Lights? What Lights?”
“There was this strange lights in the sky, kind of like the northern lights I thought nothing of it, but after that I began to feel… weird!” Megan explains.
“This is crazy, we got to get out of here!” Alice explains.
“Funny thing, I would but I kinda have no legs!” Megan explains, “You mind?”
“Oh right!” Alice said as she lifts her friend up to carry her away.
“Nice costume by the way!”
“Thanks!” Megan awkwardly smiles as she could feel Alice’s fur and large breasts on her scales and skin.
“You smile quiet nice too!”
“Don’t even think about it!”

a crowd was gathering in the centre of the town a for the past hour planes has flown across and more and more people in hazmat suits with the military was ushering the turned people into the centre of town. Many times Alice and Megan asked on what happened to them only to get no answer and continue to be assisted to get to the main street.
Finally arriving Megan and Alice looking around to see that it looked to be the entire town was here not just that but soldiers with the faces covered, people in hazmat suits checking for the two could only guess what.
“Attention,” A voice calls out from what it sounded like a loud speaker. “May I have your attention, at eighteen-hundred hours, a strange light engulf this entire town, this light is from unknown origins, it’s affects, looks to be clear but yet we do not now the full effects of this… change, I’m afraid as of this moment this is ground zero of containment, please return back to your homes and wait for further instructions we will get answers and find away to return you back to normal, thank you!”
“You’re kidding me?” Alice asks. “They can’t do that, can they?”
Megan looks around to see the gun power the soldiers were carrying as if they were ready for a war.
“I think we should take his word for it!” Megan said.
“So what now, what should we do?” Alice asks as Megan looks around unknowing a mass army that surrounded the town of Pumpkinstine keeping the strange outbreak contain… by any means necessary…
